Breastfeeding Support – Breastfeeding Basics Group Class

Class times: Tuesday & Thursday from 6 – 9 pm starting March 29th, 2016. Cost is $45.00

Our breastfeeding classes will equip you with the tools you need to get you off to a good start. The information will include: Benefits to breastfeeding, learning latch and positioning technique, how to establish an abundant milk supply, signs of success and how to avoid and treat common breastfeeding concerns. We will cover what to expect in the first few hours, first few days, and first few weeks of life. We will answer any questions you might have.

Parents leave this class feeling more confident in their ability to nourish their newborn and to make informed feeding choices. This class may also be taken after the fifth month of pregnancy, prior to giving birth. The cost for this class is $45 and includes your husband or partner, who is encouraged to attend.

Instructor: Gloria Canaday, RN

Gloria Canaday, RN, IBCLC is a lactation consultant who has worked with mothers and babies or over 20 years. She is IBCLS certified and has worked as a lactation counselor for breast feeding counseling, education and support. She has experience as a NICU nurse. Her passion is making sure parents have all update and relevant information they need to make the best feeding choices for their newborn.
